Zack and Miri Make a Porno - ** Kevin Smith makes a love story out of two losers that are making a porn flick to raise money to pay their bills. This time around Seth Rogen has the lead role Zack with Elizabeth Banks (Betty Brant - the Spider-Man movies) playing Miri who journey though this tale set out side of Jay and Silent Bob's universe finding true love on the way. The humor is standard fair from what you would expect and pacing is just about right. So if you liked Kevin Smith's film you should go see this. A pleasant addition to the cast is true adult stars Katie Morgan and Traci Lords.

Sukiyaki Western Django (DVD) - *** If you think you have seen every Spaghetti Western then you must see director Takashi Miike's take on the movie Django (a 1966 Italian spaghetti Western film directed by Sergio Corbucci and starring Franco Nero in the title role). The stylized sequence action has sword play mixed with gun shoot'em up that is over the top like something out of a alternative universe cross between cowboys and samurai. The story is about two gangs battling it out with a lone gunman trying to protect the townsfolk before all is lost. Quentin Tarantino makes a guest appearance as Ringo. I just loved every minute of this action packed film from start to finish and need to watch it again. Also one unique feature to the movie was it has English dialog preformed by the actors while filming.

Max Payne - ** The movie is manly Mark Wahlberg as a cop whose wife and baby were murdered and his quest to find their killer. There is one twist about some drug that turns people into fighting machines that go insane with Norse Mythology but over all this is just a cop that becomes a tormented vigilante that will do anything to avenge the death of his family. Some shoot’em up action sequences are to fare and few to make this movie entertaining enough for me. The lone lame “all most” nudity/sex scene with Olga Kurylenko (that was to short) was about he best part of this movie based on a video game by the same name. When will we see a movie based on a video game made into a guilty free watch?
